Virat Kohli’s Team India gets emotional note from Aamir Khan after World Cup 2019 defeat

Yesterday, the Indian Cricket team lost semi-finals to New Zealand and the nation suffered a heartbreak. However, many fans, including Bollywood celebrities, took to social media to praise the team for their effort.

Aamir Khan took to Twitter to pen an emotional note for the boys, praising them for their performance throughout the tournament.

He wrote, “Hard luck Virat. Just wasn’t our day today. For me, India had already won the World Cup when we qualified for the semis at the top of the list as the No 1 team. Well played guys, throughout the tournament. I just wish it hadn’t rained yesterday…. The result might have been different.” The actor signed off the note, saying “But well done, proud of our team. Love.”

No just Aamir, many other Bollywood celebs also reacted on India’s defeat. Arjun Rampal wrote, “Loved supporting our #teamindia you guys played awesome cricket. Just not our day today. I can’t imagine how distraught you guys must be feeling. Thank you for all the wonderful matches you played. Gave us so much to cheer. Love my team. #TeamIndia.”

Varun Dhawan wrote, “Respect and thank you team india for giving us everything. #NZvsIND.”

MS Dhoni’s fans were devastated after India’s loss as speculations have been rife that Dhoni might announce his retirement after World Cup. However, India Today sources had confirmed that there were no official word on Dhoni retiring.

Virat Kohli: No, he hasn’t told us anything about his future.
