Step aside common folks, Queen B and her darling daughter Blue coming through! We’re just days away from the release of the highly-anticipated live-action film, The Lion King, which will retell the story of how the innocent cub Simba became the true and honourable king of the jungle. While Donald Glover voices the role of Simba, his fiery counterpart Nala is being voiced by the one and only, Beyonce. Today, i.e. July 10, 2019, the Grammy award-winning singer descended on the red carpet for the world premiere of The Lion King, in Los Angeles.

Beyonce’s plus one date was her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who is already known for her fashion game. The mother-daughter duo decided to steal the red carpet moment of the night as they twinned in diamond-studded blazer gowns. Beyonce, in paticular was dripping in a diamond-encrusted silver and black blazer gown by Alexander McQueen. Her fiery look was amped up by diamond-studded strappy black heels, Lorraine Schwartz jewellery and a bedazzled clutch while natural makeup and a delicate cornrows hairdo further accentuated the attire.

On the other hand, Blue was also decked in a blazer gown, which included a black tulle hem and a diamond-studded blazer top along with black ballerinas. Ivy Carter’s hair was styled in braids and paired with intricate jewelled hair pieces. Check out Beyonce and Blue Ivy Carter’s photos from the world premiere of The Lion King below:
